Job SummaryThis is a full-time, hybrid Summer 2025 Digital Services internship with our Data Science team. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled intern to join our applied AI and Machine Learning team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, apply advanced analytical methods, and contribute to solving complex business and clinical challenges. This internship offers several things, including hands-on experience with real-world data science, AI, and machine learning projects, exposure to cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies, a collaborative and innovative work environment, opportunities for learning and professional development, including mentorship from a team member to assist the intern in meeting their future career goals, and a chance to make a meaningful impact on healthcare and business outcomes.Essential Functions
Predictive Modeling and Machine Learning: Collaborate with the team to develop and deploy machine learning models that predict outcomes, identify risks, and uncover opportunities for improving patient care and business functions.
Participate in the entire model development lifecycle, including data preprocessing, feature selection, algorithm choice, model validation, and performance optimization.
Advanced Data Exploration and Analysis: Analyze complex healthcare or business data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that support more informed decision-making.
AI Exploration: Explore innovative AI applications, assess their feasibility and ethical implications, and contribute to the implementation of suitable solutions.

QualificationsRequired
High School Diploma or equivalent
Pursuing a technical degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering.
Must be either Junior standing or Master’s level student
Experience with Python, SQL, and machine learning or data science concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Experience with prompt engineering
