Industry Security Standards Specialist
Our client in the technology industry is seeking a Security Standards Specialist to join their team. As a Security Standards Specialist, you will be part of the Adaptive Embedded Computing Group (AECG) supporting Security Architects. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience engaging with Industry Standards organizations, and a general understanding of hardware architectures and components.Job Title: Security Standards SpecialistLocation: On-site in Austin, TX, or in San Jose, CAWhat's the Job?
Provide direction and support for certification standards enablement for AECG products
Provide support for interpretation of Common Criteria security standards by reviewing the associated specifications
Attend associated working groups related to achieving certification goals
Engage closely with team members to disclose interpretation of standards requirements that impact AECG products
Provide advice and direction to achieve certifications
What's Needed?
Experience engaging with Industry Standards organizations (active membership in underlying working groups preferred)
General understanding of one or more hardware architectures and components (PCIe Accelerators preferred)
Understanding of one or more certification standard sets of requirements (Security related including FIPS and/or Common Criteria preferred)
Familiarity with typical OS components
Eagerness and ability to quickly learn new concepts
Ability to work in a closely collaborative team environment, as well as independently
BS or BA Degree - in a technical field preferred (e.g. Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent)
6+ years relevant experience, with 2 years active industry standards engagement
