Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are currently seeking a motivated individual for our facility in Mars, Pennsylvania, as a Maintenance Technician. The primary responsibility of this role will be to install, repair, and maintain machines and manufacturing equipment. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining the overall facility. Other duties include fixing machinery and inspecting equipment and buildings to confirm everything meets safety standards. In addition, scheduling major repairs with the building’s staff and adhering to all environmental, health, and safety standards. Another primary responsibility will be to perform preventive maintenance on equipment and fix technical issues.Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics are crucial to this role. This role also requires physical stamina and strength, as this candidate must stand for long hours and occasionally carry heavy loads.Hard Skills
5 years of Maintenance experience
2+ years of Electrical systems and mechanics
2+ years of Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment
Conduct preventive maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment, and devices
Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual)
Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
Repair broken or faulty machine parts
Perform emergency repairs
Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
Align and calibrate machine parts
Monitor and report on project progress
Perform wiring, plumbing, mounting, leveling, squaring, and installing all types of machinery
Follow OSHA protocols in all maintenance activities
Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics
Complete minor troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical-related issues
Contact third-party vendors and coordinate services when required

The environment can be noisy at times but not more than any other manufacturing setting. The assembly area can be somewhat crowded due to parts laying on the ground.
