Warehouse Lead
Description:The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to coach, mentor, and motivate a work group of UAW-represented hourly employees to deliver Best-in-Class Performance, Customer Service, and KPIs.A Warehouse Supervisor would have the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:Safety
Quality
Productivity and Efficiency
Direct Supervision of UAW represented hourly employees
Timekeeping of hourly direct reports
Analyze root causes and utilize countermeasures to effectively resolve day-to-day workplace challenges
Enforce Standards of Conduct within the PDC
Drive continuous improvement projects and processes to deliver the KPIs.
KPIs include, but are not limited to: Safety, Housekeeping, Overall Quality, Errors, Shortages, Wrong Parts Picked, On Time Delivery, Damage, Efficiency, Productivity, Costs, etc.Skills:material handling, materials management, logistics, uaw, supervisory skills, Supply chain, Material flow, Automotive manufacturing, Continuous improvementTop Skills Details:material handling,materials management,logistics,uaw,supervisory skillsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED - preferred to have a bachelor degree
2+ years warehouse supervisory experience preferred
- preferably experience working with and leading in a Union environment, this facility is UAW
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- must be able to learn and understand the local and national union agreement to effectively communicate, hold employee's accountable, and drive the business while fostering a positive work environment
Ability to multi-task and handle numerous responsibilities simultaneously
- priorities will change on the fly from internal to external - must be able to work with some ambiguity and make decisions on the fly to keep things moving forward
