LEAD TREE CLIMBER & SECOND TREE CLIMBER (HIRE ON BONUS!)

We are looking for a lead climber, Must be highly skill in all types of pruning including fine pruning.

Lead Climbers can expect to make between $250.00 - $500.00 Per Day (Depending on experience and skill levels)

Crew of 3-4; with a qualified 2nd climber so climbing duties are spread out between 2 people when needed or you have 2 people to clean up after you when needed.

5 Day Work Week for 12 months of the year. (unless there's a holiday)

We currently have crew leaders who are also learning and working part time doing sales, writing arborist reports, preparing permits etc

Gear: You request it, we buy it.

There are limits of course but for the most part you are allowed to request and maintain your ideal climbing set up.

Requirements:

Ø Trims trees to clear right-of-way for communications lines and electric power lines to minimize storm short-circuit hazards.

Ø Climbs trees to reach branches interfering with wires transmission towers, using climbing equipment.

Ø Prune’s treetops, using saws or pruning shears.

Ø Repairs trees damaged by storm or lightning by trimming jagged stumps painting them to prevent bleeding of sap.

Ø Removes broken limbs from wires, using hooked extension pole.

Ø Fells trees interfering with power service, using chain saw portable power saw.

Ø May work from bucket of extended truck boom to reach limbs

Ø Supervise others engaged in tree trimming work train lower-level employees.

Ø Climb trees, using climbing hooks belts, or climb ladders to gain access to work areas.

Ø Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools equipment.

Ø Cut away dead excess branches from trees, or clear branches around power lines, using climbing equipment or buckets of extended truck booms, or chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers.

Ø Trim, top, and reshape trees to achieve attractive shapes or to remove low-hanging branches.

Ø Prune, cut down, fertilize, and spray trees as directed by tree surgeons.

Ø Hoist tools and equipment to tree trimmers, and lower branches with ropes or block tackle.

Ø Operate shredding and chipping equipment, and feed limbs brush into the machines

Ø Inspect trees to define if they have diseases or pest problems.

Ø Cable, brace, tie, bolt, stake, and guy tree’s branches to provide support.

Ø Collect debris and refuse from tree trimming removal operations into piles, using shovels, rakes or other tools.

Ø Provide information to the public regarding trees, like advice on tree care.

Ø Clear sites, streets, and grounds of woody and herbaceous materials, like tree stumps and fallen tree’s limbs.

Ø Trim jagged stumps, using saws or pruning shears.

Ø Ensuring that the work area beneath and around the trees is clear and properly marked so that the public will be safe from falling debris

Ø Maintaining climbing gear and tree care equipment to be sure that all equipment and tools are safe and in working order for high quality and safe service

Ø Ensuring that all crew members follow Company safety policies and procedures

Ø Required safety gear will be worn at all times

Ø Drug and alcohol usage during work hours will result in immediate termination without pay

Ø All onsite positions will assist with brush cleanup.

Ø We work as a team at all times
