Caregiver in Long Beach Needed for Evening Shifts

Nightingale Senior Care is seeking a caregiver to help a Female client in Long Beach. This client is needing care from 4pm-9:30pm for a few days during the week. Care needs will be safety monitoring, stand-by assistance, transfer, meals, companionship care, and light housekeeping for the rate of $18 an hour.

Requirements:

- HCA registration (Home Care Aid)

- Live Scan (Criminal Background Check)

- TB Test (Tuberculosis Test) or Chest X-RAY

- Minimum 2 years of experience (Caring for Family Members Counts!)

- Legally permitted to work in the US

- Licensed driver with reliable transportation

- Reliable, dependable, compassionate and friendly

Responsibilities:

- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients

- Patience and empathy

- Assist with activities of daily living including; help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication management, personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming)

- Monitor physical and mental well-being of our clients

- Mobility assistance and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients

- Help with mobility and physical exercises to maintain strength and flexibility

- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client progress

Qualifications:

- Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or related fields is preferred

- Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients

- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need

- Capability to handle responsibilities efficiently and effectively

- Knowledge of memory impairment

- Strong communication skills and the ability to listen actively to build trusting relationships with clients and their families are essential

- A commitment to ongoing education in caregiving techniques and patient care standards is encouraged
