The typical hiring range for this role is $28+ per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).What You'll Do:Youll work with the Maintenance team to complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting and installation, fulfillment of assigned work orders and unforeseen repairs in a timely fashion. Youll follow good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, preventative maintenance, good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations. Inspects and tests machinery, and equipment.
Performs Preventative Maintenance on all equipment including forklifts, HVAC systems, air compressors, boilers, and all Production equipment.
Designs, builds, installs troubleshoot- electrical control system including instrumentation, controls, PLC, power, drives
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
Dismantles machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of the facility. Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, and drill to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Troubleshoots all problems and performs regular preventative maintenance.
Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines as well as work orders.
What You'll Need:
Maintenance Tech skills and knowledge required to repair and PM industrial equipment.
Food industry knowledge
Knowledge and ability to operate production machines, forklifts, scissor lifts, and related equipment.
Ability to use various hand and power tools.
Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform a variety of repetitive manual tasks that require agility and manual dexterity.
Ability to work with strong cleaning solutions.
Knowledge of the following areas: Welding/Fabrication Hydraulics/Pneumatics Building maintenance Electrical/Electronics/PLC/Instrumentation/Drives HVAC Forklift (maintenance/operation) Lockout/Tagout Blueprints/schematics/building plans Preventative Maintenance and workload organization.
