Teams within this department work on a series of platforms spanning Spectrum to achieve various business goals.BE PART OF THE CONNECTIONAs a Data Platforms Director o­­n the THIS team…you’ll be responsible for implementing and maintaining a platform, including troubleshooting of system and data issues for both lower and production environments. You will collaborate with the software development and engineering teams to streamline and simplify the deployment process and serve as the first line of contact for highly complex production issues. Your main role in this position is to ensure features are developed in a way that fosters continuous delivery.WHAT OUR DIRECTORS ENJOY MOST

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUMRequired Qualifications

Experience:

5+ years of Telecommunication industry leadership experience to include

6+ years of Software engineering team management

7+ years of Distributed computing software development

Experience developing distributed software operating in JVM and on Linux

Education:

BA or BS College Degree or related work experience

Technical Skills:

Skills:

Technical leader familiar with reactive platforms like Akka, Node.JS, Play, etc.

Exposure to GraphQL based APIs

Comprehensive understanding of public cloud infrastructure services capabilities such as AWS

Comprehensive understanding of modern microservices architectures employed at web scale

Advanced understanding of DevOps principles and practices

Demonstrated ability to lead people and projects to a successful, high impact outcome

Effective communication skills: Listening, verbal and written

Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative

Demonstrates effective communications skills including presentation skills

Abilities:

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Ability to operate customer facing production services at web scale, 24/7/365

Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively

Ability to analyze and resolve issues, both logical and interpersonal

Ability to negotiate and defuse conflict

Ability to act independently or with limited direction

Travel Ability:

Master’s Degree or MBA

Knowledge of telecommunication/cable services or industry experience
