Position Summary:The Molecular Biologist is responsible for efficient delivery of data from molecular, protein, and cell-based biochemical assays. They are highly organized, able to execute and develop protocols for various laboratory techniques and adhere to good research practice (GRP) requirements. They are a detail-oriented laboratory scientist, conducting biochemical assays among other laboratory responsibilities under the direction of the responsible scientist(s). They exhibit quality and compliance in their daily work. They are a champion of and promote the organization’s Values and Absolutes. The Molecular Biologist will complete their regular assigned daily work while meeting the expectations outlined below.What You’ll Do:
Growing, maintaining, and harvesting various cell cultures for use in high-content imaging and biochemical assays.
Perform and develop protocols laboratory assays and techniques including qPCR and Western blot.
Process and analyze and organize data for presentation to responsible scientist(s) and
Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, and maintain clean, well-functioning laboratory environment.
Accountable for a safe work environment, confidentiality policies, following protocols, and meeting deadlines assigned by scientist in charge.
Report progress on assigned tasks to the scientist in charge on a daily/weekly or monthly basis for set milestones and goals.
Meet with scientists to understand needs, adapt and ensure expectations are communicated clearly, concisely as well as timelines to complete.
Meet regularly with the scientist and manager to discuss progress, upcoming work changes, and any new items
Perform eLN (electronic lab notebook) entries and corrections in a timely manner while complying with guidelines
Perform other essential tasks, projects, and responsibilities as required.
Follow the guidelines set forth with clients and in the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc (BVCPS) Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
Comply with clients and BVCPS management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
Follows the guidelines set forth by clients and the BVCPS Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan.
Other duties as defined by the Manager, department needs and workload.

Education & Experience:
Degree requirement: BS in Biology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a laboratory setting.
Some experience with stem cell culture preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of experience with biochemical techniques including but not limited to Western blotting, qPCR, cell culture, and high-content imaging
Experience with or willingness to learn rodent tissue collection and dosing.
Schedule: M-F (first shift), forty hours per week.
