BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician to join our team in in Oklahoma City! You will work Thursdays and Friday with our Internist and float through other specialties the rest of the week.

Pay: $18.95 - $38.49 / hourThis pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our leveling systemAs an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician you will be responsible for taking comprehensive patient histories, client communication, assisting DVM with procedures such as digital radiology, ultrasound, anesthetic scope procedures, working along side other technicians, assistants and doctors as an effective team to provide excellent patient care and support.As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician, you will
The ability to communicate with clients regarding treatment changes or the patient’s current therapies as outlined by the veterinarian.
Proficient in placing IVC and pulling blood
Induce, monitor , and recover anesthesia
Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.
Discharge patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube
Sharp critical thinking skills in order to notify the doctor appropriately
demonstrations.
Additional job duties as assigned.

Our Continuing Education Plan includes $500/year reimbursement for CVT and $750/year for VTS. The Continuing Education allowance can roll over up to $1,500 for CVT and VTS associates. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150. Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours. Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.
