Prepare and Serve Freshly Baked Goods and Breakfast to the residents of a remote site work camp. This is a rewarding position for those who love to prepare and serve baked goods of all types, by scratch, and cook the "most important" meal of the day – Breakfast!
The successful Cook Baker will:
Prepare/bake/present delicious bread, pastry, desserts in quantities per menu and number of persons to be served.
Prepare/cook/present excellent basic breakfasts PLUS breakfast specialties to provide for variety.
Direct and train activities of workers assigned to shift.
Provide excellent customer service.
Ensure food safety, a safe workplace, and positive team atmosphere.
Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with laws, regulations, company vision, values, guiding principles, and policies and procedures.
Cook Baker must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
In addition to the duties performed, the individual must be able to physical and mentally work away from home, family and friends for extended remote rotation.
Education and/or Experience associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal craft training is preferred.
ServSafe Preferred and Food Worker Card Required
Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record may be required
First Aid and CPR Certification may be required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly subject to prolong periods of standing and is required on occasion to taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift 50 – 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must have capacity for long hours, days, weeks away from home.
