Description Civil Litigation/Insurance Defense Associate AttorneyRobert Half has partnered with a regional law firm in Salt Lake City on the search for a 4+ years’ Civil Litigation/Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their growing team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, independently managing a caseload personal injury defense, construction defect defense litigation, premises/products liability matters in active litigation.Responsibilities:
Representing clients in court on personal injury defense, construction defect defense litigation, premises/products liability matters in active litigation.
Preparing and drafting legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts and legal memoranda.
Investigating and analyzing the facts of a case and conducting research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.
Communicating and negotiating with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case.
Advising and providing counsel to clients about their legal rights and obligations.
Performing administrative functions related to the practice of law, including the management of client files and record keeping.
Participating in legal proceedings such as depositions, hearings, and trials.
Providing advice and representation to clients regarding insurance defense issues.
A J.D. and an active license to practice law in Utah is required for this position. Trial experience is highly preferred. This position does require occasional travel. This is a hybrid position with two days remote per week. Our client offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Requirements Must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school Should be a Licensed Attorney in the jurisdiction where the job is located Demonstrated expertise in Civil Litigation and Insurance Defense Litigation is essential Must have experience in conducting Jury Trials Proficiency in using Case Management Software for tracking and managing cases Ability to prepare Briefings, Draft Motions, and Preparing Pleadings effectively Experience in Construction Defect cases will be an added advantage Strong Legal Research skills are required to investigate and support cases Must be able to work independently and also collaborate effectively with other team members.
