Technical Designer AutoCAD

Kitchens by Request is a Kitchen, Bath and Home remodeling company with a boutique appeal. Servicing the luxury market within the Baltimore region with projects currently in Sante Fe NM and Naples FL. A Technical Designer position is currently available with our company located in Jarrettsville Maryland.

Our Expectations:

We are looking for a Technical Designer that has AutoCAD experience to join our team

You should think creatively with an innovative approach to design, work independently and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be required

Possess the ability to create drawings from field measurements, sketches and verbal ideas and keep those drawings consistent to confirm the design intent of the project remains intact

Be able to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications

Be open to learning new things from product introductions to new installation techniques

Your Role:

Meet with clients to review project ideas and materials

Provide detailed drawings for pricing, customer presentations, building permits, carpenters, plumbers and electricians

Request samples from manufacturers and suppliers, place material orders and inspect materials upon delivery to confirm order accuracy

Track materials to ensure timely delivery and installation

Create project binders for the office and field personnel ensuring all information is up to date

During the construction phase of the project, communicate changes that are occurring or any adaptations to the original plan
