We are looking for someone who wants to learn everyday and never back down from fear. Our company is full of good, caring people, we will teach you, train you into a versatile craftsman that can do all of these things I have become an expert on. We need someone with desire, passion, curiosity, perseverance. Unfortunately most who try give up because the work we do is challenging. It will test your work ethic, it will test your faith, it will test your strength. I am a hands-on leader, I get on the job and help problem solve and give insight when unexpected changes arise.
I am looking for those who have been tinkering their whole life. When I was a young man my father and I would play in the garage. He taught me how to explore and learn by doing. In my experience it teaches everyone the best. Taking it apart one piece at a time and putting it back together gives you vision on how everything works. I am looking for hard workers because everything is a challenge. We build large fireplace structures with heavy bricks and mortar. At this job you get very strong because you're lifting heavy materials, scaffolding, steel and cast iron fireplace units.
I hire depending on experience, but not just in this field. I have found the applicants who succeed quickly have previous experience working on a family farm, or with their grandpa in the shop. This know how that is taught by grandpa puts you ahead of others because it is experienced that allows you to be a quick problem solver. This mentor relationship is what I want to continue with you and apply these qualities to build beautiful artisanal structures and fireplace features for the children and families of our community. I am in this business because my father taught me a lot of life’s most useful lessons in front of the warmth and comfort of the crackling fireplace. I want to maintain that environment in every home so that all future generations will be able to have that ambiance and warm safe environment for learning and sharing stories of the challenging day. It's something worth keeping I think because I would be nowhere if it wasn’t for our family fireplace. When we finish a job and light the flame, our customers are overwhelmed, with an amazing sparkling in their eyes. It’s like our trade sparks imagination.
If you would like to apply to work at my company please send me a reply, resume and references. We start with a phone interview.
