Experienced Stone Fabricator with at least 1 year of STONE fabrication (Not Welding or other fabrication)

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Experienced stone fabricator must have at least 1 year of fabrication in the stone industry. (Welding and other fabrication experience will not be considered). They will work under the supervision of our senior stone fabricator and will help in all aspects of the stone hand-fabrication process. Will work in the production of kitchen and bathroom countertops, back-splashes, fireplace surrounds, and other granite, marble, and quartz surfaces. Will operate stone cutting and polishing machinery and hand cutting, grinding and polishing tools. We are looking for an experienced fabricator with at least 1 year of experience fabricating stone surfaces. This is a labor-intensive role that requires standing for most of the day, working in both wet and dry conditions and requires heavy lifting pieces for short distances with assistance. Looking for candidates who are dependable, take pride in quality work, and would like to learn a rewarding trade.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Responsible for the fabrication of all natural and semi-natural stone materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Will operate stone cutting and polishing machinery and hand cutting, grinding and polishing tools.

This is a labor-intensive role that requires standing for most of the day, working in both wet and dry conditions and requires lifting heavy pieces for short distances with assistance.

This is a Monday-Friday Position but occasionally weekends are required. (Pretty rare)

Early morning start time. Our crew likes to get in and out early each day. Most of our crew start between 5:30am and 7am.

The ability to get along well with others. This position requires you to follow direction from your supervisor and work well with our cross-functional team of machine operators, templaters, installers and managers.

Follow safe loading and unloading of slab materials.

Ensure work area is kept clean and organized prior to leaving each day.

Have knowledge of and comply with the company safety policies and procedures.

Demonstrate a positive “company” driven approach with peers and customers.

Maintain a positive moral within the shop while giving constructive feedback as necessary.

Perform the proper handling of materials to eliminate damage or injury.

Cross-training to continuously improve your knowledge of the various procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: The position will spend most of the time working in an environment that is relatively loud but hearing protection and personal protection equipment is provided. Required to be able to lift 80 lbs or more at times and work eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays each week, with occasional Saturday work required.
