Schedistrar (Scheduling & Registration)- Cancer Center
SummaryResponsible for scheduling procedures/visits for the division and accurately obtaining required information for medical records, governmental requirements, billing, and third-party payer needs. Additionally, staff will ensure that patients have all the necessary information regarding their coverage and benefits related to their visit and inform patients of their financial obligations so that they arrive prepared. The Schedistrar duties also include communications with multiple departments, collection of deposits and co-pays. QualificationsEducation QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED is preferred. Experience Qualifications1-year experience in customer service and general clerical/office procedures is required.1-year healthcare experience is preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
