RDA for small pediatric dental office

Job description

We are looking for an excellent registered dental assistant to join our team at SF Pediatric Dentistry. Our office is relatively small, with 15 patients/day. Our office is welcoming and all our patient's families are lovely. We are seeking an RDA with excellent interpersonal skills and a great communicator who enjoys working with children and families. Previous experience as a dental assistant or RDA with children or in a pediatric office is a plus. As an RDA, you would be responsible for one column of patients.

Position

Part-time, possibly full-time in 2025

Schedule: Tu, W, F 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities

Welcome families to the dental office, including COVID-19 screening

Prepare patients for their treatment or checkup

Do coronal polish, fluoride varnish, and take X-rays

Provide oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions

Set up instruments and equipment

Sterilize instruments and rooms after each patient

Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry

Schedule appointments

Maintain accurate patient records through our all-digital patient management software

Occasional front office duties including checking out families and taking payment, or answering the phone if necessary

Skills

Experience as a pediatric dental assistant preferred

Friendly and positive attitude

Excellent communication and people skills

Good computer skills required

Qualifications:

Current RDA License

Coronal polish and X-ray certification required

Salary is negotiable and depends on experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour

Medical: Benefits available for full-time employees working 32+ hours per week

Vacation: 1 week of paid vacation after 1 year, for full-time employees

Sick leave: 1 hour for every 30 hours worked for all employees
