Physical Therapy Aide For Integrative Physical Therapy Clinic

We are a speciality physical therapy office with a focus on integrative physical therapy. Established for 11 years, we are one of the best clinics in the Bay Area and we get phenomenal results for our clients. We are not primarily insurance based therefore have freedom to put the client first.

We are looking for a compassionate, present based and motivated human to join our awesome skilled team.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the medical field, especially for individuals applying to Physical Therapy or other related degree programs.

You will assist the physical therapy practice in patient care, clinic duties, and to help the clinic run efficiently and effectively.

There is on the job training and you will work closely with Senior Therapist and Physical Therapists. Aides gain skills in patient flow, therapeutic exercise, a variety of therapeutic modalities including Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy, and more.

Pay Rate: DOE

Duties include:

Aide for Physical Therapist in clinic

Walking patients through exercises

Modalities

Cleaning and maintenance

File management

Organizing

Front office greeter (proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Google Drive for Mac or PC)

Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

- Assist in the flow of patients in and out of the clinic

- Assist in modality setups including: electrical stimulation, light therapy, Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy, and traction.

- Under the supervision of the Therapist, assist with therapeutic exercises and instruction and inform Therapists of patient responses to treatments.

Clinic/Office Duties:

- Maintain appropriate levels of stock and supplies.

- Maintain the clinic in a clean and orderly fashion including: Cleaning and prepping rooms and treatment tables, and equipment, minor other housekeeping tasks such as dusting, laundry, etc, stocking forms for clinic use, Filing.

- Adherence to HIPAA Privacy Regulations (Training Provided to new staff)

- Attend staff meetings and in-services regularly.

- Speed, accuracy, and volume of work accomplished

- Willingness to remain flexible and take direction

Performance of required duties:

- Communication with patients, staff, and management

- Requirements:

- Great customer service skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm and centered demeanour

- Good communication skills

- Ability to take direction and follow-through with tasks

- Ability to be self directed when necessary while strictly adhering to task priority and relevance.

- Ability to judge good body mechanics is necessary

- High School Diploma/GED required. Current or planned enrollment to pursue a degree in a related clinical field is a plus. Bachelors Degree in related field a plus.

- Responsible for attention to detail, organization, cleanliness, strong multitasking and time management skills

- Basic computer skills in Microsoft word, Excel, and Googel drive on Mac or PC

- Quick learner

Bonus Points:

-Previous experience in a related clinical setting beneficial, but not necessary.

-Experience with exercise instruction is beneficial but not necessary.

-Experience with modality setups listed above is beneficial but not necessary.

-Massage Therapy, Personal Training Certification, Pilates Certification or other fitness certification a big plus but not necessary

-Experience in Retail industry bonus but not necessary

Schedule:

Approximately 40 hours. Monday - Friday possibly Saturdays depending on clinic flow. Shift starts at 7:45am.
