Apply today!About the roleThe Environmental Source Test Engineer would be a member of the Environmental Testing Group primarily responsible for the oversight of a variety of high-level air emissions monitoring and source testing programs for air emissions of Thermomechanical Treatment (TTF) facilities. Secondarily, the Environmental Source Test Engineer would be responsible to support continuous emission monitoring systems data management and functionality at select Reworld facilities on an as-needed basis. The programs are critical to maintaining a superior environmental compliance at our facilities. Key responsibilities include:Oversight of a variety of air emissions monitoring and source testing programs.

Conduct and manage pre-compliance stack test site reviews including group discussions with facility, Regional and Corporate personnel.

Lead the planning, oversight, onsite execution and evaluation of air source testing with facility operations, environmental staff and agency contacts.

Support the review of source test reports for completeness, adherence to USEPA/state procedures, and accuracy.

Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and routinely reviewed.

Assist in the review and analysis of source testing results with facility, Regional and Corporate teams to develop data trends and provide opportunities for improvement.

Assist in the developing, implementing and updating the testing program schedule.

Assist in the development of bid requests, task orders and purchase orders with respective facility, testing contractors and Regional/Corporate staff.

Assist with special engineering test programs including discussions with facility, Regional, Corporate personnel testing consultant and local / federal agency contacts.

Assist with oversight of changes in source testing methods (state / federal) and assessing the impact to the development of source test plans.

Support the completion of Relative Accuracy test Audits (RATAs), Opacity Audits and Cylinder Gas Audits (CGAs) at Reworld facilities depending on the need and location.Job Location: Position would ideally be based out of Morristown or Asheboro, NC. Open to candidates to work remotely, must live nearby a major airport for travel primarily along the East Coast.Minimum Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science in relevant engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental) or science (biology, chemistry, environmental science). 3 years of directly relevant environmental source testing experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Experience:Up to 5 years of progressively responsible experience and specific knowledge of USEPA test methods, test programs, associated reports application of continuous emission data to testing, facility operations and air pollution control equipment. Demonstrate a proven capability in communicating with diverse levels of facility and regulatory personnel. as an environmental professional. Specific experience in the following areas is needed:

Managing facility source testing, testing contractors and development of source test plans

Familiarity with federal and state staff and procedures

Oversight of source testing programs and exceptional time management skills

Knowledge of air monitoring regulatory requirements, including equipment and sampling procedures

Knowledge of combustion and air pollution control technology

Knowledge of software systems used for environmental and operational data managementKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work independently and as a team member

Proficiency in Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint

Strong verbal and written communication skills including technical documentation

Strong organizational and time management skills
