Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Property Maintenance Technician to join our residential property management team. This role is essential for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to tenants.

Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential properties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and completed tasks, using property management software.
- Collaborate with the Property Manager to prioritize and schedule maintenance work.
- Assist in managing relationships with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and services.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ordering as necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries and concerns regarding maintenance issues.
- Support seasonal maintenance tasks, such as landscaping and snow removal, as needed.
Experience and Education :
We are looking for someone with 1-3 years of experience in this field.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of residential building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with tenants and team members.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using property management software for tracking maintenance requests and reporting.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Previous experience in residential property management or facilities maintenance is a plus.
