Data Center Technician (Voice & Data Cabling)

We have multiple needs open for Data Center Technicians. These Technicians will be doing IT cabling on a grand scale. We have an exclusive contract to build the cable infrastructure for one of the largest Data Centers Locally. We have openings for entry-level technicians and up!Your role will be to assist the higher-level techs and the team leads in building out the infrastructure including pulling cable, pulling fiber, learning color codes, learning how to punch down and terminate cable & fiber, installing cable trays and pathways, and building server racks, and assisting with electronic security installation.Role Responsibilities:

Assist with running, terminating, and installing IT cabling (Cat5, Cat6, Coaxial, and Fiber Optics)

Install grounding for server racks, equipment, and cable as required. (heavy Cisco environment)

Perform fire-stopping procedures on firewalls, install sleeves, and on low-voltage devices

Terminate low-voltage devices and IT hardware. (Cameras, servers, switches, etc.)

Follow blueprints precisely to ensure the work is being carried out correctly.

Fully complete all paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, and others as required).

Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:Punctual and team player, able to be flexible on hours. Typically these locations are constantly under construction of some form. There is a strong probability that you will have to work on heights at some point. Need to be able to handle a little organization. Candidates must be comfortable wearing PPE (steel toe boots, vest, hard hat, goggles/glasses, and gloves)
