License and Certification Qualifications: Valid Georgia driver's license required.Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.Experience Qualifications: Three years of experience troubleshooting and repairing AV media, broadcast, video, and/or computer technology required.Skills Qualifications: Ability to diagnose, repair, and resolve AV media equipment, video equipment, and laptop and printer issues; ability to transport, assemble, install, maintain, and repair equipment used in multimedia production; ability to communicate professionally with staff and the local school technology team; ability to properly document with detail, the repair and service occurrences with assigned equipment; a working familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite products; ability to utilize online incident management software; ability to be creative and flexible; and ability to represent Gwinnett County Public Schools in a positive and professional manner.Primary Responsibilities: Provide assistance with troubleshooting, installing, diagnosing, and/or repairing classroom AV media equipment, video broadcast equipment, and laptops/computers from local schools in a central office setting while managing the repair processes and recommending strategies for improving effectiveness and efficiencies of this repair service.1. Diagnose, maintain, and repair malfunctioning AV media equipment as assigned.a. Organize and arrange for equipment to be picked up from local schools and/or district locations.b. Communicate with and notify the support vendor when there are items for the vendor to repair.2. Install equipment as assigned whether in support of repair/replacement or to provide new functionality.3. Perform preventive maintenance services for AV media equipment as required.a. Test and clean related technology returned from local schools or the warehouse prior to their redeployment.b. Test and repair or surplus related AV technology as needed from local schools.4. Organize and maintain service records for repair and maintenance as required.a. Process incoming incidents for AV media equipment.b. Communicate and consult with school staff if there are questions about information regarding incoming incidents.5. Conduct supplies audits and order parts and supplies as needed.6. Assist with school delivery and pick-up of equipment as assigned.a. Assist vendor or staff with the loading and unloading of equipment.b. Notify the AV courier when there are items to be delivered or picked up.c. Utilize district vans to pick up or return AV media equipment as needed.7. Provide world-class customer service regarding AV media equipment inquiries.8. Support the effective on-going operation and continuous improvement of equipment support processes.9. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. Employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
