Accounting Manager

Description We are currently seeking a seasoned Accounting Manager Consultant on a contract basis for our client in the manufacturing sector located in Central San Diego. This individual will have a specialty in creating financial statements and closing books from April 2024 to current. This role takes on major responsibility and requires both technical expertise and leadership skills. With limited guidance, the selected candidate is expected to complete the tasks by year-end.Job Functions:Oversee month-end close proceduresManaged accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.Ability to roll up sleevesConduct comprehensive reconciliations.Execute forensic accounting tasks meticulously.Evaluate existing accounting processes and suggest possible improvements.Develop new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency.Utilize Quickbooks Enterprise for managing and processing accounting data.Handle accrual accounting procedures.Job Requirements:A minimum of Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or similar field.7+ years of robust experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.High proficiency in Quickbooks Enterprise is a must.Solid understanding of the monthly close process, financial statement creation, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, reconciliations, and forensic accounting.Excellence in creating SOPs and evaluating processes.Ability to work independently with limited guidance.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to meet deadlines and commit to project delivery by year-end.
