This position has multiple service responsibilities including maintaining patient confidentiality at all times, patient registration, and answer/screening incoming telephone calls using proper telephone etiquette, locate, send and retrieve films for comparison and/or readings. The Triage Coordinator is an essential link in communication between radiology imaging and clinical imaging with internal and outside medical groups/facilities.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.Minimum Required: NonePreferred/Optional: Post-high school courses in medical area such as health unit coordinator or medical office procedures preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and body structure preferred.EXPERIENCEMinimum Required: One to two years' previous experience in a medical setting required. Computer keyboarding experience required.Preferred/Optional: Previous data entry experience preferred.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSESThe following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.
