Framing / Form Carpenter
We are now hiring for Framing / Form Carpenters.
As a form carpenter, the primary responsibilities include constructing forms for concrete structures like walls, footings, and slabs according to blueprints. They are also tasked with setting up and operating power tools, as well as heavy machinery like bobcats and backhoes. Ensuring safety on the job site is crucial, which involves complying with OSHA rules and regulations, maintaining a clean environment, and setting up safety provisions such as scaffolding and fall protection. Additionally, form carpenters often interact with consultants and oversee slab profiles, concrete mix parameters, and formwork finishing.
Duties
Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels.
Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.
Cleans up worksite debris.
Pay rate: $20 to $25 an hour, depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am to 4 pm.
Requirements:
MUST be able to pass a drug test.
MUST be able to pass a background check.
Proven experience as a Carpenter in a construction setting.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry.
Knowledge of various carpentry techniques including concrete finishing, masonry work, metal stud framing, roofing, drywall installation, plastering.
Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings such as schematics.
Strong attention to detail and precision in all tasks performed.
