Diesel Mechanic for Construction Company
We are hiring NOW for a Diesel Tech / Mechanic.
Mechanics will be expected to diagnose, repair, and replace components in company equipment, vehicles, and small engines. Candidates must be able to read schematics, diagrams, and repair instructions.
Responsibilities / Duties:
Demonstrate an advanced understanding of the operation of internal combustion engines, drive trains, suspensions, and steering systems in industrial construction equipment, and passenger vehicles.
Understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems found in heavy construction equipment and passenger vehicles.
Perform multi-sensory inspections of broken equipment to identify broken components or systems causing equipment failure.
Examine, analyze, and diagnose malfunctioning diesel equipment including bulldozers, excavators, rollers, sweepers, loaders, skid steers, and motor graders.
Procure replacement components needed to complete repairs of malfunctioning equipment.
Setup and coordinate a preventative maintenance schedule for all company equipment that includes routine oil changes, changing air filters, and any other maintenance necessary to keep equipment functional, and operating efficiently.
Full-time and long-term.
Pay rate: Between $25 to $40 an hour depending on experience and interview.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm.
Requirements:
Proven experience in the field.
MUST be able to pass a drug test.
MUST be responsible and punctual.
MUST posses a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
