Job Description:
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Civil Journeyman Carpenter to join Mirage Industrial Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using both hand and power tools. This role requires a solid understanding of structural design, blueprint reading, and a good grasp of construction trade techniques and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Review blueprints, sketches, or building plans to layout project details and determine material needs.
Shape or cut materials to precise measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
Adhere to safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Build and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, and ramps.
Repair or replace damaged sections of structures using appropriate tools.
Keep accurate records and provide written progress reports.
Build forms or chutes for concrete pouring and ensure accuracy of structures by checking for grade, plumb, etc.
Mix, transfer, and extend materials such as concrete and asphalt.
Fabricate and install reinforcing bars for concrete.
Place and finish concrete to specified standards.
Ensure a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the site daily to eliminate hazards.
Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience at the Journeyman level in the carpentry field.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
Must be open to overtime and weekend work as required.
Travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
Regular physical activities include sitting, using hands for handling or feeling, and reaching with arms.
Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate.
Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
Must have strong vision abilities including depth perception, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
