Experienced Carpenter / Remodeler / Jack-Of-All-Trades
WANTED: An experienced carpenter / remodeler / Jack-Of-All-Trades type of person to become an important part of a fast growing, highly respected, VERY BUSY, remodeling and general construction company. The majority of the work will involve carpentry, but this person MUST know the basics of all aspects for residential construction. From one day to the next you could be doing: Fence building, framing a wall, hanging sheetrock, taping and floating, setting tile, installing wood flooring, installing cabinets, setting a Toilet, installing a door, building closet shelving, installing crown molding, painting walls and trim, Installing a kitchen sink, building a deck, repairing wood rot, hanging a ceiling fan, ETC. ETC. ETC. I hate the term "handyman". . . but basically I am looking for a Handyman on Steroids. My new team member will have the following attributes:
DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS JOB UNLESS YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING:
1. RELIABLE Transportation (a truck is strongly preferred)
2. Must be DRAMA FREE, honest, presentable and have a strong work ethic.
3. Know how to read a tape measure! Ex: 3/8th, 11/16th, 5/8th, etc. (I will test you as soon as we meet the 1st time)
4. Must be able to pass a drug test.
5. Must be able to pass a criminal background test.
6. Must have most of your own tools. (Hand tools, drills, sawzall, circular saw, etc.).
7. Must be able to work well around other staff member. (You will be working as a part of a team of other professionals who will treat you with respect and you should be able to do the same.)
8. Must have a reliable cell phone. You must be able to send and receive phone calls and texts messages every day, all day.
9. MUST be dependable. Show up to work on-time every day (like EVERY DAY. . . in a row) AND must show up on time.
10. MUST BE FAST A good carpenter does quality work QUICKLY.
11. You should know how to build fences, frame a wall, hang sheetrock, tape and float, set tile, install flooring, install cabinets, set a toilet, install a door, build closet shelving, install trimwork, paint walls and trim, install sinks, build a deck, fix wood rot, hang a ceiling fan, etc. etc. etc. I don't expect you to know EVERYTHING or be a master craftsman at everything, but you should know more than the basics about almost everything AND be willing to improve the skills you already have.
HERE'S WHAT I WILL GIVE YOU:
1. Pay = The high end of the industry because I want the best people possible.
2. I will always pay you on time and completely.
3. I will keep you busy - At least 5 days per week - at least 40 hours per week.
