Staff Accountant
Description We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Oak Brook, Illinois. This role revolves around the accurate and efficient processing of financial data and the maintenance of comprehensive financial records. The Staff Accountant will be essential to our finance team and will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of our organization.Responsibilities: Conduct frequent bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions Utilize financial software for recording, tracking, and reconciling financial transactions Maintain up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary financial information and ensure alignment with company-wide financial goals Assist in the preparation of financial reports by providing accurate and reconciled financial data Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial procedures and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial transactions and discrepancies Organize and file financial documents for easy retrieval and auditing purposes Contribute to the generation of financial statements for management and regulatory reporting Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records promptly. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations. Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary. Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries is required. Ability to handle Month End Close activities effectively. Knowledge and experience using NetSuite software. Proficiency in Oracle software is essential. Experience with QuickBooks software is necessary. SAP software proficiency is a must. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience with financial reporting is desirable. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
