Mini Einstein’s Learning Center, a family and veteran-owned, fully licensed, Christian-based childcare center in Lynnwood, WA, is looking for a passionate and reliable Daycare Assistant Cook to join our team. We currently care for over 160 children (soon to be 280) ages 4 weeks to 12 years. If you love cooking and enjoy working in a school-style atmosphere, this could be the perfect fit for you! You will work alongside our Kitchen Manager, Mr. Ki, in a small but functional kitchen, and must be flexible and creative while we complete renovations on our new kitchen, which will be finished in 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist the Kitchen Manager with daily meal preparation following the daycare’s menu plan.

· Prepare ingredients, cook meals, and portion food according to nutritional requirements and guidelines.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing countertops, and ensuring safe food handling practices.

· Assist in maintaining food inventory and storage, keeping track of expiration dates, and replenishing supplies as needed.

· Ensure all food is served on time and in accordance with daycare schedules.

· Accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies with care and follow appropriate procedures for handling allergen-free foods.

· Comply with health and safety regulations and ensure the kitchen environment meets all sanitary requirements.

·Taking out Kitchen Trashes

Temperature logging the fridges and freezers

· Collaborate with daycare staff to ensure smooth meal service during snack and lunchtime.

Qualifications:

· Must live in Washington and have a valid work visa (sponsorship is not available).

· Be at least 18 years or older with High School Diploma

· At least 1 year of professional cooking experience (experience in a school setting is a plus).

· Positive, patient demeanor with the ability to work independently.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).

Requirements Before Starting:

· TB shot (within the last year).

· Valid Food Handler's Permit.

· Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) Certification.

· DCYF background check clearance.
