Our well-established dental practice, located in Wasilla, is currently interviewing for a part or full time dental assistant. We are a hard working team of professionals, committed to dental excellence and a strong sense of community, that enjoy what we do.

This position requires a thorough knowledge of dental assisting and requires one year of experience. Applicants must have excellent customer service skills, great communication skills, and a strong work ethic.

Job Summary: The Dental Assistant is responsible for preparing, assisting the Doctor, and delivering comfortable and quality care to the patients. This team member needs to be outgoing, organized, and adaptive to change. Additionally, this team member must be positive and willing to work in a team environment to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

· Prep and assist the Doctor with dental procedures

· Sterilize, maintain, and organize per OSHA/office standards

· Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering of dental supplies

· Capture, process, and record x-rays

· Accurately chart and document medical histories and dental procedures

· Additional responsibilities may be discussed and assigned

· Punctual and strong attendance record

Qualifications:

· 1 year+ of Dental Assisting or willingness to learn

· Understanding of health and safety regulations

Skills:

· Team player

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Detail oriented with the ability to multitask

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.

· Capable of standing for extended periods of time and working in close quarters

Schedule:

· Monday – Friday / 40 hours a week

· Typically, 8 hours a day between 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Experience:

· Dental Assisting: 1 Year (Preferred) or willing to learn
