Summary Perform mobile battery testing and replacement if required. Provide emergency roadside assistance using assigned battery service vehicle and equipment in a professional, safe manner by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Receives call and is dispatched to location by radio or telephone.

Responds to calls and provide roadside assistance in a safe, professional and timely manner.

Communicates with dispatch in a professional manner informing of status and providing an accurate ETA.

Use AAA provided test equipment to test batteries and diagnose failed batteries that are to be replaced by a new one. Do so in a professional and ethical manner.

Be prepared with the appropriate tolls, equipment and battery inventory to safely install the proper battery and get the customer on their way as soon as possible.

Upon installation of new battery, always return a core to the yard for proper credit and disposal according to AAA Battery Service Program requirements.

Perform timely and correct logging with dispatch, of paperwork, daily reports and/or other necessary documentation.

Follow company policies and processes consistently for diagnosing battery and/or other automotive part failures; use testers as trained.

Consistently meet AAA battery conversion standards; actively pursue ongoing battery sales training; assist others in becoming quality battery technicians.

Safely perform other road services not limited to the following:

Changing flat tires or inflating tires that are low on air (T1 & T2)

Jump start vehicles whose battery passes the load test, but, are only discharged and unable to start the vehicle (T-3)

Deliver a small amount of fuel to those out of gas (T-4)

Perform minor roadside repairs (T-5)

Perform lock out procedures for customers who have locked their keys in their vehicles ( T-6)

Inspect assigned company vehicle for safety and required equipment. Including tools, supplies, battery inventory and complete and submit pre-shift inspection sheet prior to beginning duty each day.

Operate company vehicle in a safe manner while obeying all traffic laws and paying attention to all road conditions.

Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicles exterior and interior. Remove all trach from the vehicle at beginning and end of shift. Tools and equipment are to be stored in the designated locations and kept in working condition.

Report any tolls or equipment that is damaged or missing to management immediately.

Maintain fuel tank at half full at all times. Check and maintain other fluid levels on vehicle to manufacturer standards and note quantities on pre-shift inspection sheet.

Maintain the storage yard in a clean and orderly manner. All trash and cigarette remnants must be properly disposed of and not left in the company vehicle or on the ground.

Secure storage yard by ensuring the gate closed when leaving.

Attend safety meetings and training classes as scheduled. Follow all safety policies. Use provided safety equipment and clothing when required.

Arrive at work when scheduled and in uniform.

Complete and submit Daily Driver Report each shift. Submit properly completed invoices and paperwork in a timely manner to the accounting staff.

Perform other duties as assigned.
