GM of Sales & Events (The Party Team)
Job Title: General Manager of Sales & Events, Full-time
Role: Help our amazing event entertainment company contract and produce great events for clients and their guests. If there is an event being produced in our area and it uses or could use entertainment, we want to be a part of it! Produce sales leads and increase revenue through both inside and outside sales, and networking. Ensure all events are contracted, coordinated, and executed to a high degree of customer satisfaction. Maintain a high-quality and dependable staff through constant recruiting, training, and team building. Oversee the care of vehicles, equipment, and general shop efficiency.
Compensation: Hourly plus commission plus benefits ($55,000 - $70,000). Competitive for event industry professional.

Responsibilities:
Sales – (35%)
Execute Sales Plan to meet/exceed monthly sales targets and to expand customer base
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
Generate leads through venue referrals, partnerships, inside and outside sales calls
Answer web leads, customer inquiries, calls and emails in a timely fashion
Partner with customers to understand their event objectives. Communicate value through proposals and presentations
Follow up with clients to ensure they receive documents and answer questions
Contract and collect payment for events
Gain membership to relevant trade/industry organizations
General Operations - (35%)
Recruit staff to meet all event needs; Dealers, DJ’s, Hosts, and Event Captains
Host training events for specific games and equipment
Develop and improve products and services
Order and install equipment and supplies as needed
Review expenses quarterly to ensure office is running at maximum profitability
Analyze event evaluations, expenses, and report contractor timesheets for monthly payroll
Refine shop and production operations for maximum efficiency
Troubleshoot audio-visual equipment
Event Coordination/Client Management - (20%)
Communicate with clients and venues to determine timelines and optimal load-in protocol; venue visits and client meetings as necessary
Generate/design print materials for events: Funny Money, Photo Booth art, and fundraiser signage
Schedule vehicles and equipment to deliver events efficiently
Contract outside vendors to fill event needs that fall outside of the services of the company
Assign staff to events, giving consideration to expertise and cost
Prepare Event Captain Clipboards for day of event
Determine best course of action if presented with production issues
Evaluate performance of setup crews and contractors, providing feedback as needed
Event Production - (10%)
Load, deliver, setup, and teardown equipment for events
Operate all company games and equipment at events with high degree of proficiency
Demonstrate excellent customer service
Supervise dealers and activities at events, according to event guidelines
The Hard Part
Ability to carry 50lbs up a ramp - generally this position schedules the Shop Assistant to load equipment, but there will be times when something needs to be loaded right now.
A working knowledge of casino games
Experience and aptitude to troubleshoot Audio/Visual equipment and computer hardware/software.
Ability to drive a vehicle towing a trailer and backing up a trailer, and it does snow in Idaho.
Being able to speak on a microphone to a crowd with confidence. Our Event Captains are party-starters! This means being able to let the guests know we are there to show them a great time.
Ultimate level of reliability. You have heard in theater that "the show must go on". It is the same in the event business; on the days we have multiple gigs, there is no one available to cover your shift.
This position will receive calls from Event Captains that need direction on urgent event-related matters on the evenings and weekends when most events happen.
