Description We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. This role is a short-term contract employment opportunity, where the individual will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, reconciling timesheets, managing electronic payments, and maintaining payroll records. Responsibilities: Accurately process company payroll on a regular basis using specific software Reconcile and verify timesheets and payroll data for all employees Manage electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks Prepare and submit detailed reports on payroll account activities, including incomes, taxes, deductions, leaves, etc. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements for payroll Assist in the administration of employee benefit programs such as health insurance, pension plans, etc. Promptly and properly resolve any payroll discrepancies and irregularities Collaborate with the human resources department to update and maintain payroll records Conduct internal audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy Participate in the development of payroll policies and procedures to align with company goals and objectives. Requirements Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now Proven experience with Ceridian and 401k - RRSP Administration Familiarity with About Time software Ability to handle Accounting Functions Experience in Auditing and Benefit Functions Mastery of ADP - Payroll and Automated Payroll systems Familiarity with bi-Monthly Payroll processing Proficiency in HRIS Payroll System and HR Payroll System Experience with Multi-state Payroll and Multistate Payroll Knowledge of Payroll administration for 101 - 500 Employees Experience with Payroll - Union Ability to Process Bi-weekly Payroll and Biweekly Payroll Must have a good understanding of accounting and financial principles Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities Familiarity with local, state, and federal tax and labor laws.
