Ground Service Equipment Mechanic $24-$30 per hour

We are looking for a qualified individual to start a small Ground Service Equipment or GSE mechanic shop on airport. Looking for an individual who has a strong understanding of both gas and diesel motors as well as electrical systems.

If you drive a mid to late 70’s Chevy Square body that runs like a top and you have no problem jumping in it and driving cross country you are our guy or gal.

Looking for an individual that is a self starter self motivated and has the ability to prioritize by importance. If you have the ability to work independently of having someone operate your strings please apply.

If your fingernails all well kept and clean the next add is probably better suited for you.

The equipment varies immensely. They can range from simple Carbureted Ford straight Six to a complicated Computer controlled cummins diesel, the latter is more rare. Must have problem solving skills especially with electrical wiring.

Applicant must:

1 Have lived in US for last 5 years

2 Be able to pass a 10 year FBI background check

3 Have good mechanical knowledge

4 Be well organized.

5 Be a self starter (not a big shop 1-2 guys)

6 Be a self starter

7 Be a self starter (yes, 3 times lol. need someone that has a business mind and can "Own" the daily operations of the business)

8 Must be comfortable with technology ie Smart Phone, Email, Websites, etc.)

9 M-F 8 AM till 5 PM in a few cases may be called in by a customer after hours in emergency to move a broken down piece of GSE so jet can depart. (Happens rarely)

We work on airport so airport badging is a must.

We are a small shop and have a captive on airport customer base.
