About the Position:
Fab Tech 1 is an entry level position at Raider Boats. This is a training heavy position that many current team members started in. The role consists primarily of Pre weld parts preparation, measuring, cutting, bending, assembly, protecting of raw mill scale aluminum and organization for welders. This position is the foundation of everything ahead, this is where you will learn what is needed prior to becoming a welder, know how to solve problems and how to think outside the box. As this position develops this person will also be utilized and trained in welding and weld prep. Additional duties may include cleaning, sanding, organizing, fixing, building, loading boats on trailers, the final detailing of boats as well as general shop clean up.
This is a position in which applicants will be served well by being adaptable. Workflow can vary, which in turn dictates where the individual is needed around the shop. The right applicant will be passionate about the trades and eager to help IN ALL departments, as that is where growth opportunities at Raider Boats currently exist. We are looking for someone eager for more opportunity with a positive attitude and drive to grow. We’re not looking for someone that wants this position and that’s it. We’re looking to invest in someone to build the groundwork needed in the next step in the process, this position is the player on deck warming up.

Preferred Qualifications:
● Interest in fabricating / ability to fabricate.
● Interest in welding or welding experience
Test upon Interview:
● Applicant may be subject to fabrication test to gauge ones understanding of the art.
● Applicant may be subject to weld test to gauge ones experience with aluminum welding.
Current Schedule is 4-10’s: Mon-Thursday 6am-4:30pm
Pay: DOE
