Sonar Inc. a retail restaurant franchisee is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, Accounting/Office manager for their office in the city of Orange. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records are maintained, managing office operations, and providing administrative support to the multi-unit restaurant teams and Senior Management. As the Accounting/Office Manager you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing cashflow, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and maintaining and balancing the general ledger as well as overseeing office operations including managing supplies and providing administrative support to our restaurant staff. You will also be supported by and manage a payroll processor by reconciling and approving payroll as well as overseeing hiring/termination and various HR activities.

Job Responsibilities:

Complete comprehensive reviews and reporting for daily operations across multiple locations

Manage Cashflow daily

Period and Annual Financials: Detailed analysis of store operations including, Fixed assets management, Remodel activities, Bank reconciliations, Lease negotiation, Accounts payable/receivable

Strategic planning: Consulting with executives on strategic planning

Communication: Serving as a link between management and employees, and communicating with other levels of the organization

Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.

Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.

Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.

Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

Benefits and compensation: Maintaining and enhancing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, compensation, and vacations.

Support Senior Management with all required corporate level financial reports and compliance documents.

Monitor all HR related activities for timely execution to meet deadlines.

Qualifications / Skills:

Bilingual strongly preferred but not required English/Spanish

Proficiency in using accounting software as Sage 100 / Biznet or QuickBooks as well as strong Excel skills

Experience with balance sheet reconciliation & account reconciliation

Strong knowledge of GAAP

Familiarity with technical accounting concepts and practices

The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the finances of the business

Basic math skills to make accurate calculations and estimates

Able to accurately perform 10-key typing for data entry purposes

Attention to detail, organization and project management

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting/finance

Experience with financial reporting requirements including GAAP
