Painter/Prepper Apprentice

A fast-growing company, fabricator of custom interior/exterior environmental graphics and sign products, is looking for Painter/Prepper Apprentice.

Responsibilities include painting various signs using spray paint gun, primers, sealers, or stains. This includes prep work for the surfaces, applying filler, using power and hand tools for further finishing and painting. Paints a variety of large and small interior and exterior signs. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to use/learn a spray gun, hardworking, self-accountable & clean. This is an opportunity to learn so no experience is required. Experience with Matthews paint system is a plus.

New hire will be responsible for taping and covering surfaces with paper or plastic, filling cracks, holes and joints with caulk, putty, or other filler. Working on ladders to reach high or hard to reach areas. Must be able to learn or have skills to perform surface preparation for painting (sanding, scraping, cleaning, caulking of dissimilar joints. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
