Job Description SummaryThe Global Security Program Leader for Event Management, Training and Communications will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive approach to security training, communication, and event management across the GE Vernova Organization worldwide. This role is critical in fostering a security-aware culture, ensuring effective dissemination of security information by partnering with Security Program and Regional Leaders, and managing security protocols for corporate events. The leader will collaborate with various global teams to align training and communication initiatives with organizational objectives and best practices in security management.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities – Program DeliverablesEvent Management and Security Oversighto Oversee the security planning and execution for all corporate events globally, ensuring comprehensive risk assessments and the implementation of security measures tailored to each event.o Coordinate with event planners, vendors, and local authorities to ensure that security protocols are seamlessly integrated into event logistics.o Monitor security operations during events, ensuring compliance with established security plans and addressing any incidents or concerns promptly.o Develop and implement executive protection protocols for key personnel during corporate events and travel, always ensuring their safety and security.o Coordinate with security teams and external agencies to provide protective services as needed, including advance reconnaissance, route planning, and on-site security during events.o Act as the primary contact for security-related incidents during meetings and events, leading response efforts and ensuring proper documentation.o Develop and maintain incident management protocols, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security issues.o Analyze incident reports to identify patterns and make recommendations for preventive measures.Global Security Training Developmento Design and implement a global security training curriculum tailored to various employee levels and functions, ensuring relevance and effectiveness in addressing security challenges.o Facilitate training sessions and workshops by coordinating with the Chief Security Officer, Deputy Chief Security Officer, Program Leaders, and the Regional Security Teams, to enhance employee understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures.o Create engaging training materials, including e-learning modules, guides, and resources, that are accessible to a diverse global workforce.o Measure training effectiveness through feedback and assessments, adjusting as necessary to ensure optimal learning outcomes.o Lead the rollout of security training programs across all regions, ensuring consistency and relevancy.o Leverage existing technology and innovative learning methods to enhance training effectiveness and accessibility.Communications Strategy and Executiono Develop and execute a global communication strategy that effectively conveys security-related information, policies, and updates to all employees and stakeholders.o Work with partner functions such as Communications on behalf of the CSO to work on security communications, including newsletters, alerts, policy updates, and incident reports, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging.o Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of security communications with organizational goals and values.o Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across functions, including HR, Comms, DT, Legal, Cyber and Facilities, to promote collaborative efforts in training, communication, and event management.o Provide expert guidance to leadership on effectively communicating security policies and protocols throughout the organization.Qualificationso Master’s degree in security management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.o Minimum of 10 years of experience in security management, event security, or employee training, with a proven track record of effective program implementation.o Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment methodologies, and emergency response planning in corporate environments.o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse groups of employees and stakeholders.o Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.o Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent) are highly desirable.o Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the Organization.o Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction, able to maintain confidentiality and handle matters discreetly.o Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.o Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones.o Required extensive leadership traits, business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills.o Ability to manage a lean security organization to deliver results in an uncertain worldIf contracted in the US:The base pay range for this position is $152,000 - 220,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus.
