Collections Specialist
Description We are inviting applicants for the role of a Collections Specialist based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role exists within the service industry and involves offering a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Collections Specialist will play a crucial role in managing customer accounts, processing applications, and resolving customer inquiries.Responsibilities: Contact customers with overdue payments to arrange payment plans and secure payments. Conduct a considerable number of outbound calls daily to customers. Handle challenging situations with professionalism and maintain composure. Document all interactions and payment arrangements with precision. Utilize negotiation and persuasion skills to secure payments. Deliver excellent customer service while resolving outstanding balances. Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues or disputes. Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding debt collection practices. Update customer account information and notes regularly. Use skills such as Cash Collections, Collections, Answering Inbound Calls, Answering Inquiries, and Customer Service to perform duties efficiently. Requirements Proven experience in cash collections and consumer collections Proficiency in answering inbound calls and making heavily outbound calls Experience in call center customer service Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally and effectively Strong data entry skills with attention to detail Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations Knowledge and understanding of the collections industry Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Proficiency in using collection software and other related computer applications Willingness to work in different shifts as per the organization's requirements High ethical standards and respect for confidentiality regarding clients' information.
