Head Start Regional Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator - Region VI
REGIONAL TRAINING & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE COORDINATOR OFFICE OF HEAD START TRAINING & TECHNICAL ASISSTANCE REGION 6 The Regional Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator (RTTAC) has a strong training and technical assistance, supervisor, and project management background to support our Head Start Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) team in Region VI. The RTTAC works with the Regional Office (RO) on short, intermediate and long term professional development, training, and technical assistance planning that addresses Office of Head Start (OHS) and RO priorities and initiatives. The RTTAC works closely with the COR to ensure the provision of high quality training and technical assistance that complies with all OHS requirements. Work Location: Dallas. Responsibilities/Duties :
Supports the RO in developing short, intermediate, and long-term TTA that addresses OHS priorities and initiatives.
Manages and coordinates regional TTA services that ensure high quality, responsive, and coordinated TTA services and contract deliverables, as well as timely communication and resolution of quality concerns and issues.
Develops and implements quality assurance processes with TA Management Team.
Provides ongoing supervision of the Regional EC Manager(s) (RECM), GS Manager(s) (GS), Systems Specialist(s) (SS), Health Specialist(s) (HS), Family Engagement Specialist (FES) and Administrative Assistant (AA), unless otherwise determined by region.
Implements and oversees a system of ongoing supervision and coaching for all TTA staff that supports ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
Engages TA Management Team in the overall leadership of the regional TA team, including the development of region-specific procedures and practices, communication protocols, and implementation of TA services.
Ensures the completion of at least two formal observations of the HS, FES, and SS in each performance period to assess quality of TTA provided and determine professional development needs.
Leads a strategic planning team for the region to address HS/EHS recipient needs, identify gaps and develop strategies to ensure compliance and quality improvement.
Provides on-going reporting of comprehensive data analysis linking regional and state TTA to OHS and RO priorities and HS/EHS recipient service delivery, including analysis of TTA activities, trends, regional needs and intensity/quality of TTA provision.
Ensures the timely and accurate completion of OHS required reports, including but not limited to the Annual Regional Professional Development (PD) Plan, monthly and quarterly aggregated TTA plans, Monthly Travel Plans, and HS/EHS recipient-specific TTA plans and activity reports.
Implements data analysis and reporting processes that inform and improve the quality, responsiveness, and effectiveness of TTA services.
Develops and provides training in topical areas to RO staff, programs, and state partners based on the PD Plan and at the direction of the RO.
Participates in national and regional work groups and meetings as directed by OHS.
Supports business development with STGI as needed.
Participates in STGi leadership work groups and meetings as directed.
Required Skills
Familiarity with the Improving School Readiness for Head Start Act of 2007, Head Start and Early Head Start Programs, OHS Monitoring Protocols and processes, and knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards and Other Regulations.

Fully bilingual in Spanish, preferred (By Region)
Required Experience
A minimum of a BA or BS Degree—with a preference for a master’s degree—in management, human resources, education leadership or administration or related field from an accredited university or college. If the highest degree was awarded more than ten years ago, the resume should be specific regarding courses, conferences, seminars attended or relevant work experience.
A minimum of seven years of experience, with ten years preferred, that includes at least three years with the provision of high-level training and technical assistance, three to five years of progressive supervisory/management and staff development, with a preference for experience managing remote-located staff/teams; and expertise and experience in budget oversight and management.
Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and managing/improving complex, multi-faceted projects.
Demonstrated experience in budget oversight, management and project quality control.
Demonstrated ability to review, analyze, aggregate and present data gathered from multiple sources.
Demonstrated skill and ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, to various audiences.
Demonstrated experience working in close collaboration/coordination with multiple entities.
Intermediate to advanced level experience with recent versions of Microsoft Suite, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer; ability to use current webinar technology and audio conferencing.
Familiarity with Smart Sheets preferred.
