We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team – one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.Title and SummarySenior Software EngineerJob Overview:Responsible for the configuration, management, and support of Akamai CDN services, DNS/Infoblox (DHCP, DNS forwarding, etc.), and F5 Global Traffic Manager (GTM). This role focuses on network traffic management, DNS architecture, and optimization of web performance through Akamai CDN. Ensure that network and DNS services adhere to industry standards, internal processes, and best practices.Major Accountabilities:
Configure and maintain Akamai CDN services, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability for web applications.
Manage and administer DNS/Infoblox, including DHCP configurations, DNS forwarding, zone management, and troubleshooting.
Configure, support, and optimize F5 Global Traffic Manager (GTM) for global load balancing and traffic distribution.
Troubleshoot and resolve network and DNS issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and implement traffic routing strategies, DNS policies, and content delivery solutions.
Provide input on the design and architecture of DNS and traffic management systems, ensuring scalability and high availability.
Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and failover design for DNS and traffic management systems.
Monitor and report on the performance of Akamai, DNS/Infoblox, and F5 GTM services, making recommendations for improvement.
Ensure compliance with security best practices and participate in vulnerability assessments related to DNS and CDN services.
Mentor and guide other team members on Akamai CDN, DNS/Infoblox, and F5 GTM configurations and best practices.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in CDN, DNS management, and traffic distribution technologies.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
Knowledge / Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in network management, DNS administration, and CDN configuration.
Experience with Akamai CDN services, and F5 Global Traffic Manager.
Knowledge of global traffic routing, load balancing, and content distribution.
Experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex network and DNS issues.
Familiarity with best practices for security in network and DNS configurations.
Skills / Abilities:
High energy, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to managing critical network services.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function independently under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external vendors.
Ability to lead technical discussions and provide mentoring to other team members.
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies related to network and traffic management.
