UPK Head Start Teacher, preschool

QUALIFICATIONS:

4-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Pre-K NYS Teaching Certification preferred.

One year of experience leading a pre-school classroom team.

Basic computer skills.

Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promote the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of 4-year-old children in a classroom setting, directing the work of a Teacher Assistant and Aide. Provide and maintain a safe, healthy, learning environment and ensure that children are appropriately supervised at all times. Advance physical and intellectual competence to promote higher-level thinking skills.
