Superintendent - Commercial Concrete
Full job description
Deschutes Construction is searching for a Commercial Concrete Superintendent who is fully responsible for managing all aspects of a concrete project. This includes developing and maintaining a schedule, daily supervision of crews, managing all materials, concrete supply, pumps, rebar, post tension & stud rails sub-contractors, shop drawing review and coordination with detailers.
Responsibilities:
Develops and oversees methods of construction to ensure that the most efficient methods are being used.
Develops a schedule that keeps the project moving forward and on budget.
Is keenly aware of cost management and makes adjustments as necessary to keep the project on budget.
Must understand the contract fully between contractor-owner and contractorsub-contractors and ensure that the contract is adhered to.
Collaborate with Project Manager and coordinate project as-builts and plan updates
Oversee QA/QC
Writes and tracks RFI’s, RFC’s and ensures that all crews have current information to build with.
Other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications:
Associate degree in construction management or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the concrete construction industry, and a minimum of two years of previous experience as a superintendent.
Must have experience as a superintendent doing post tension elevated decks.
Must be able to get along with people and to communicate in a professional manner with everyone involved in the project from owners, inspectors, foreman, carpenters, laborers etc.
Must demonstrate leadership in upholding company policies and values.
Must possess a working knowledge of computer programs including: Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project. Knowledge of CAD, Procore and Raken a plus.
