Horizontal Directional Drill Locator/Operator
Job description
Responsibilities and Duties:
Operate Horizontal Directional Drill;
Ensure safety of the public and other utilities underground facilities;
Ability to Read and Comprehend utility locates;
Set equipment up including the drill, water tanks and grounding the machine;
Ability to properly formulate and mix drilling mud for the site conditions;
Ability to perform proper reaming and pull back methods for existing conditions;
Oversee laborers and/or crew members work and monitor time usage;
Ability to properly clean and maintain the equipment, check fluid levels and conduct a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure your vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, perform the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required reports, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment;
Communicates with Supervisor daily to turn in required reports (i.e. Bore log, vehicle maintenance reports, crew time logs etc.);
Follows specifications for the job and company policies;
Complies with safety procedures on and off the project site;
Strive for optimal production while working safely and performing quality work.
Requirements:
Driver's License (Class A CDL preferred);
Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR);
HDD Operator Position, 2 years (required);
Clear background check for base access;
Pass pre-employment drug screening;
Must have good work ethic;
Must be dependable.

Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

HDD Operator: 2 years (Required)
