Description We are looking for a Medical Admin to join our team in the Healthcare industry located in Syracuse, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks including managing customer inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating authorized services. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensuring accurate entry and review of authorization data into the computerized database Assisting with the coordination and scheduling of patient services as directed by the team Participating in continuous quality improvement activities Acting as a point of contact for Care Managers, assisting with scheduling and tracking contacts and visits Managing various reports within EHR as directed Answering phone calls for the team, triaging calls, answering questions, and escalating as appropriate Performing clerical duties such as filing, typing, copying, faxing, and taking messages as directed by supervisor Regular communication with Members and collaboration with team members to support Members’ needs Managing expiring authorization reports Recommending process improvement during regular meetings with the clinical team. Requirements Must possess strong skills in scheduling and coordinating appointments. Excellent customer service skills are required for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience in data entry with a high level of accuracy. Familiarity with healthcare systems and medical terminologies. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High level of organization and ability to multitask. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a medical administration role would be advantageous. Must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services. A degree or certification in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
