Supplemental InformationThis position is located in Baton Rouge, LAOffice of Career and College Readiness Job Focus Areas This Education Consultant 3 position is located within the Office of Career and College Readiness. The primary responsibilities for this position will include:

Advising the Assistant Superintendent and Executive Director on attendance and truancy related issues in school systems.

Develops and recommends policy changes or updates related to attendance and truancy.

Prepares reports related to improving attendance and truancy related issues to inform policy and legislative changes that may need to be addressed.

Plans and implements data related in-service training focused on utilizing data to inform student attendance trends.

Collect and analyze data related to CWA programs to determine the fidelity of implementation and create draft communications about program status and program performance.

Updates and maintains attendance resources and initiatives on the web portal.

Ensures all documentation available on the CWA web portal is accurate and the information is kept up to date.

Provides ongoing technical assistance to LEAs.

Note regarding the advertised pay range : The Education Consultant 3 has a special entrance rate (SER) of $2,317.20 biweekly, which is above the minimum hire rate for these positions.

The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire .

Position is located in Baton Rouge, LA. The person(s) hired are expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Positions may be filled as probationary new hire, or by promotion of any current permanent classified Louisiana State employee. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected.
