OverviewAs a CNA at CHI St. Francis Health, you will help our patients by providing nursing care to our Long Term Care (LTC) residents under the direction of the physician or registered nurse.Every day you will work with our patients to evaluate their needs and provide physical or psychosocial care. To be successful in this role, you must have a genuine compassion for your patients’ well-being and understand the role you play in helping our our patients feel at ease. Sign On Bonus: $5,000ResponsibilitiesThe Certified Nurse Assistant (herewith referred to as C.N.A.) provides daily cares of residents in the nursing home by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs.Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Fulfills basic quality of life needs for residents
Answer call lights
Assist with preparation of meals, serve meals, feed patients
Vital signs (BP, T, P, R, and SaO2) weight measurements
Make beds, keep rooms clean
Ambulating, turning and positioning patients
Knowledge of isolation techniques
Reporting observations of patient to unit supervisor
Documentation of care provided
Safe patient handling (for self and patient)
Laundering of residents clothing
Strong work ethic and ability
Non-essential Job Responsibilities
Other duties as assigned by management
QualificationsCertified Nursing Assistant or be enrolled in a Nursing Assistant class and willing to obtain certification for the position within six (6) monthsBasic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart AssociationMust be at least 16 years of ageReliable attendanceCustomer Service SkillsAbility to use computer chartingAbility to work as part a teamAbility to operate equipment needed to assess patientPay Range$16.30 - $22.42 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
