Staff Accountant
Description We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Southern, New Hampshire. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and providing financial support to our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial department and the accuracy of our financial data.Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain fixed assets and depreciation registers in line with company policy. Manage weekly payroll journal entries and monthly accruals. Handle monthly rent payments to landlords, including reconciliations and reporting. Ensure the vendor master data is up-to-date and accurate. Schedule payments to headquarters on a weekly basis. Provide support in budgeting and forecasting activities. Assist with month-end closure processes and post various journal entries in SAP. Reconcile all applicable balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Assist with state and local filings and payments as required. Execute additional duties or special projects as assRequirements Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations Familiar with General Ledger management Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Proven experience in executing Month End Close procedures Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP accounting software Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong verbal and written communication skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Strong organizational and time management skills Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
