As a Software Developer you will ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on the right Software Developer joining our team to collaborate with other teammates and stakeholders to create efficient and scalable software solutions that meet the business needs.The ideal candidate will have a passion for coding, problem-solving and working in a collaborative environment. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing solutions to coding, testing and deploying.HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Participate in an agile team, contributing to all aspects of the development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, code review, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions. Design, develop and deploy new software tools that extend or replace existing capabilities.
Produce technical documentation and specifications as needed to support our business needs.
Maintains existing custom-developed software and supports COTS software products as needed.
Design and Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to develop software applications according to stakeholder and/or business needs
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, system analysts and other developers to define software requirements and implement solutions
Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit testing, integration testing and debugging to ensure high-quality software
Code Reviews: Participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
System Maintenance: Update and maintain existing software to improve functionality, adapt to new hardware or software platforms and fix bugs
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for software design and development processes
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to improve software development processes
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:● Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work experience.● Required Experience : 0+ years of related Software Developing experience.● Required Skills and Abilities : Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work. Good written and business communication skills. Must be able to interpret specifications, troubleshoot and create software solutions. Requires a good working knowledge of integrating web applications. Proven track record as a self-learner keeping current with the latest techniques.● Required Technical Skills : Application Development, Software Development, Web Applications, JSON, XML● Preferred Skills : Experience in Workday, Workday Report Writing, RaaS, and Integrations. Experience building custom web-based applications utilizing JSON, Web Services (API). This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
